Both of my kids always have a blast at the Home Depot Kids Workshops.
Both of my kids love crafts and art. We have so many “art projects” laying around the house so much of the time. Anyway, Little Dude loved getting to build his own herb planter, he especially loved the glue part and he didn’t really want much help unless he had to have it. He has been watering his herbs well. They got a bit dried out once and he got very upset because he thought they had died. He is quite proud of his planter.
I meant to get an extra herb planter kit from the Home Depot store we went to for the Kids Workshop so that Miss Thang could build one for herself at home but I completely forgot when we were there. She wasn’t too happy with me. Usually they have no problem giving kits, as long as they have plenty of them. If they are getting low they tend to hold on to them a bit more.
We are loving our Butterfly Island so much!
Though I myself haven’t seen very many butterflies, it generally helps when the wind isn’t so strong that it knocks an adult around. 🙂 Butterflies or not when you go from having no landscaping at all, no flowers, no rocks, no nothing, to having an actual flower bed with actual flowers in it, it’s amazing how much better the outside of the house looks.
Curb appeal people, curb appeal.
Just the one flower bed has added so much to our front yard. I can’t wait until the flowers start growing and thickening and making the flower bed look even fuller than it already is. And yes that one poor orange flower plant looks like it’s on it’s last leg. I’m going to have to give that one some extra TLC for a little while and probably some Miracle Gro fertilizer. The kids love to look at the flowers and help water. They are going to LOVE it if we get to see more than the normal minimal butterflies we usually see.
Having this new butterfly island makes me want to #DigIn to lots more landscaping projects around the house!!
